Some of the reserve has been damaged in the past and FFI is planting trees to restore it. span span YOUR GIFT WILL SUPPORT TREE PLANTING IN THIS VITAL FOREST REFUGE. span div u More Information u div span In 2001 Hurricane Iris badly damaged the forest of the Golden Stream Corridor Preserve which was already weakened from years of logging.nbspThrough our partners the Yaaxche Conservation Trust YCT we are working with the community to restore the area. A tree nursery has been setup providing seedlings to rebuild the forest the aim is to plant out strong over 10000 trees strong on the reserve as well as fruit or timber trees local people can use rather than using wild trees.
