The MC4 Music Cocoon has a 3.5mm socket on the back of the amplifier, which allows other portable audio devices to be connected up to the Cocoon. There is naturally an iPod dock, which is visible on the top of the MC4 as well. When playing compressed audio files the inevitable truth is that the sound quality will be reduced in comparison to non-compressed forms of audio.
